One More With Feeling I'm losing steam I'm losing me I'm losing patients With this dream I'm not what I said I'd be by now I'm not what I said I'd be by now And I'm losing steam Running up hill Weighing my means Trying to kill All my indifference Clouding my mind 'Casue I'm tired of telling you That I'm doing fine Can we get one more with feeling Can we get one more again Stand on your marks boy Stand on your marks boy Smile real big Are you having fun? How couldn't you be? You're the one their Here to see Can we get one more with feeling? Can we get one more again?

Blue Cutlass 03:50
Blue Cutlass Electric language A Cold War cupid Deception has many hands To rock you back to sleep Daydream's promise In your blue Cutlass The Butterfly sticker in the window A bold winner's plan Pull me in and make me warmer Pick me up and start again Place my hand gently at The nape of your neck How's anyone supposed to live How's anyone supposed to live How's anyone supposed to live like that A siren's shade Yellow remembers Deliberating on the lawn As you made love to the room Some of them get busy Some of them make gloom Some of them know many nights On the dark side of the moon How's anyone supposed to live How's anyone supposed to live How's anyone supposed to live like that

Hummingbird 02:41
Hummingbird I saw your smile break like an ocean wave on a Summer day I saw the pain Rush up beside your eyes Stretched out at the back of The commissary's tile floor Lonely then All the more lonesome still Now here you are Grown into the girl You thought you would be Stunned Looking for words Forgetting that we Knew each other when We both knew the right thing to say I saw the front page of the paper say you had gone away A lone mistake Where could you've gone to? Your passport's on your dresser drawer Collected with everything you own A life's work in boxes Evidence to a world Lit Up by the thought Of who you would be If only you were The past Ever in dark It buzzes away A hummingbird's wings Wishing I knew the right thing To say

Mudslides and Heartquakes Holding the light that you left as you pushed out from the inside Quiet demise, sweet as a lie, we know why he cried Living in the shadow of all the many guilty eyes who Question the life we know is right cause he loved you Stranger inside until you had died and then we all knew Secrets of love gone to heaven above I know I knew I wouldn't like the way you'd part your hair you an angel Put down my glass and leave all my bad manners at your table Heartache arrives and some how I survive all the mourning Purpose! I rise to conjure up your memory The mudslides and heartquakes they shake me They shake shake shake

It Doesn't Get Better I don't wanna brag I cried for a hundred years Showed up to your house Marveled when you were not there Thought it was a dream Woke up in a nightmare Torn out at the seams How could you just disappear? And I don't know what to do I don't know what to do I don't know what to do 'Cause I wasn't through with loving you i used to feel good Now I don't feel anything All my thoughts are ghosts I see you in everything Torture is the day Trying hard to stay awake Sadness has become The one thing I don't have to fake And I don't know what to do I don't know what to do I don't know what to do 'Cause I wasn't through with loving you It doesn't get better than this It doesn't get better It doesn't get better than this it doesn't get better

Dust To Dust 03:29
Dust To Dust When I got the phone call I was standing by the window that you hated Hoping this was just another joke Last time we spoke we made some plans Like shaking hands And I told you I was proud And I hoped you'd find All you needed to smile I can't think of Baltimore the same way that I used to since you did it Adam says it rains there all the time I'm not surprised I miss you too We all do And we all wish that we knew What we needed to Come back If there is a heaven, I hope that when I get there you'll be waiting Singing songs and making Jesus laugh And if there's no place I can go I'll try to know The words to every song you ever wrote And I'll sing them all And try to save the world

I work down at the Market Basket The one by Route 11 Chevrolet And I’ll be here bagging your groceries Instead of walking ‘cross a graduation stage Never looked me in the eye when I was socking the shelves But now I’m essential personnel Got a girlfriend who’s a nurse down in the city Working hard right on the front lines When you found out her family’s from Oaxaca Turned out you then you weren’t no friend of mine And she’s got family in an ICE detention cell But she’s been deemed essential personnel I got a brother doing time in the state penn Possession with intent to sell They busted his dumb ass with a duffle bag of grass And they threw him right in a prison cell Now he’s got a cellmate who’s not doing so well But they’re not essential personnel My daddy drives a truck for Tyson Chicken All along the Eastern Seaboard They never called him a hero When he came back from the Vietnam War They spit in his face and they damned him to Hell But now he’s essential personnel Well they can’t get the Congress in session They’ve deemed it unsafe to meet Seems that it’s not on the agenda To help folks like us get back on their feet But kindness is a line that they’d never stoop so low to sell Seems to me their not essential personnel

about

In 2017, George Barber lost his best friend to suicide. In the days that followed came the songs that now make up the Epitaph EP. Part tribute, part eulogy, Barber's first solo EP explores themes of loss, grief, hope, anger, and resignation.

about

George Barber

Composed of a rogues gallery of New England talent, Caliche pulls from influences as varied and vibrant as the band themselves. From Talk Talk to Tom Waits, the Blasters to the Bad Seeds, Steve Earle to Sonic Youth, and back again, Caliche’s sound challenges conventional ideas of Americana by infusing elements of indie, folk, art rock, and proto punk. ... more
